I've got a couple of PowerTorqued engines that are making loud squealing noises. As I increase the speed they sound fine but as they get up to higher speeds they will all of a sudden squeal and jerk to a stop. Then they start up again, keep going and then do it again. I'm assuming its one of the gears, but I'm not sure. Anyone know whats wrong and how to fix it?

BTW, If it will help I could videotape it and upload the clip.

I have put the tiniest amount of a drop of oil on the end of the armature as it sticks through the non-geared side of the PT motor. I also lightly oil the gears and the little, (pinion), gear while I'm at it but the later I think is the reason for the squeal.
I think you can see it in this 'bay picture. Try not to let the oil touch the contacts.
Maybe someone else can confirm my thoughts.

Ya, I know what you mean. Never thought of oiling the other side. I'll try it out tommorrow and see how it works.

Thanx
