I have an old Athearn crane with trucks like those on it. It's the kind of crane that would be used to clean up a train wreck. Mine has different wheel sets, though. It appears that a previous owner upgraded the wheels on yours.

Definitely an Athearn. Here's why I say so.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Yup, definitely Athearn. Now the real trick is to find the fully sprung and articulated version from the first couple years that Athearn made their 250-ton crane in the early 60's. I've gotten one complete cast-metal crane with those trucks, plus 4 spare sprung trucks found in a bag of Tyco and Bachmann parts and one more from a different show.
