This turned up at Club as a donation. Appears pristine. Has a set of gears that would apparently link to a synchronizer. Takes a 9 volt battery (don't have one handy). There is a speaker. The unit appears pristine.
1. Does it make a diesel sound?
2. Any idea to approximate worth? Appears to be pristine. Will sell on behalf of El Paso Model RR Club if it has any value.

It's steam sound. Seen ones with box top $30-35.
