My SOTW is a replica I made of a Norfolk Southern Operation Lifesaver train that we rode in November 2011. All of it was made from bare shells except for the second GP-38, it was bought of ebay as it is (Athearn RTR). The passenger cars are IHC/Rivarossi.
Looks great Jerry, you do nice work. What is the secret for the numbers on the number boards of the loco? Do you print the numbers on decal paper?

Thanks Tom - I found a great source for those numberboards from the same place I got the OLS and NS passenger decals. "ShellScale" decals sells them, either from their website or they also sell on ebay. You can get white numbers/black boards or black numbers/white boards. There are two sheets of decals per set - a sheet of numberboards and a sheet of numbers. It's cool too how the numbers are printed, so that there are all combinations of any two numbers, meaning you will only have to apply no more than two decals on a numberboard to get a 4-digit number. The numbers come in several different styles to match whatever particular road # style you need. You can get a lot of locos done from a single set http://tycodepot.com/

ken - I think the Alco PA has got to be the most beautiful passenger diesel ever made (and I don't have one ) And I think my favorite passenger paint scheme rotates between L&N, Santa Fe and Union Pacific. Nice looking set!http://tycodepot.com/
