Hi Guys:

Well I just wanted to tell you I learned a lot this past Saturday from NYC (Todd) We spent a whole day going up and down aisles of a train show in Allentown. I had to get up at 5:30 am to drive to Allentown for 8am!

Anyway. We had a great time. He's real meticulous which was great for me since it caused me to slow down and really look. Conversley I helped him with my haggling skills.

Anyway the lesson was this. I spent about $50 for which I got a

Mantua Centercab shell (Already had the Chassis)
AHM RS-2 in Lehigh Valley paint Mint
AHM Century 424 CNJ "Lifeguard" NIB
AHM SF GP18 Pristine (Traded a Tyco Paul Revere Boxcar to Todd)
Ontario Northland Boxcar (MIB)
Canadian CN "WheatBoard" Grain car -Mint
2 TYco State Boxcars MIB
Lehigh Valley Plow Gondola Mint!

OK, so thats 9 items for around $50 or approx $5 per. Even if I got the cars for 4 each shipping would go 5+ PER!!! And the locos! no way so. I'm going to do my shoping at shows for the most part. Hard to find stuff on Ebay sure, but mostly shows.

Just putting it out there!

-Gareth

I'd say you did great. Way to Go. I would have expected to spend at least 80-100 cash on that lot.
