I have a Casey Jones steamer with a junk cab and have another boiler with a good cab. I was wondering how I removed the pair and swap around with out damaging the boiler.

Well Rivarossi made a Casey Jones and Varney made a loco they called the Casey Jones. Both Aristo Craft, and HO train Co., imported early brass ones way back when.

It's a Rivarossi Frank. Managed to get a clunker at a antique store for $5 with good drivers, boiler and motor.

I don't know if the cab is glued to the boiler like on the 2-10-2, but if it is, I was able to separate the 2-10-2 cab by carefully flexing and pulling both the boiler and the cab until the glue joints gave out. I took me about 5 minutes, so be patient.

^ What Thomas said. The glue joint between cab & boiler should be significantly less on the CJ as opposed to the 2-10-2, so it should be removable.
