Hyde has been twisting my arm all month long. I will try to make it but it's Nfl playoffs weekend and I will be watching games kicking back some cold ones and eating some BBQ. Darn it Hyde, I guess I will have to wake up early.

| I'd be curious to know what advertising they do for this show, and what the crowd is like. I did one of these shows here on the east coast, same promoter, and it was terrible. Come to find out the only advertising was apparently a little piece in a newspaper supplement that's free to post.

Yeah Azusa is 30 miles from it and RC is 35 miles. Both northeast of Anaheim.

I think many of us have come to expect a show in Anaheim in January. I know the previous promoter would run ads on Television, have ads on the LA Times and flyers at the Local Hobby Shops/ Train Stores. I don't recall seeing anything of that in recent years and pretty much go to their website in order to find out information about upcoming shows.
I did however hear many complaints from fellow attendees about how disorganized the show was. For starters, this show is right next door to Disneyland so that in itself adds to the frustration but the parking folks were not much help. The show was in a different hall this year and when I asked if the directions to get into the Convention center were the same, the attendant said yes. Turns out those directions were way off and I found myself walking around the Center with other attendees trying to figure out where the show was. There were no signs or anything pointing you in the right direction. I really didn't mind it that much but considering that alot of seniors and kids attend the show, I thought they could have done a better job.
Whatever they are doing to promote the show though is working as there was a HUGE line to get in 1.5 hours after the show opened. Alot of parents with kids which is good to see. The prices though were not very good. I will stick with the Santa Susana Historical Society events from now on.
If you are not having fun, you are not doing it right.
