...from the two loc lot Ray offered recently. Both units are Triang, this one came from this set...



Alas, the pinstripes were lost when a previous owner felt the need to paint it with a broom and stove black paint. You can make out the heat stamped graphics under the paint in the reflected light...



I stripped the paint with Pine-sol...



...and just now got it running...It actually runs much slower now that the old bearings have limbered up and the grease has worked its way into the gears.

Fine looking locomotive Shaygetz, but I thought you said it ran slow. Looks to me like it's hauling butt. I like the Jesus Saves billboard.

These old Triang locomotives run just fine. A pair of them have been pulling freight trains for years on the PGW. They were apart of the original engines transferred from the Catford branch of the PGW in London.

Those locomotives look real nice painted up. And, I did enjoy the video more once I figured out to download it instead of waiting for all that buffering. Sounds like you were having a party while taking the video.

the company was formed in the 1800s,but became triangs when joseph lines sons took over,three lines make a triangle,remove last 2 letters you are left with triang,they lasted till 70s when the converged with hornby,ken
