HI KEN, I guess it came from old HO-HO-HO-HO. "THE MAN IN RED". It IS GOOD THAT YOU LIKE IT. Did you hear sleigh bells and the patter of 32 reindeer hoofs on your roof. I received from Santa in Lower Burrell, North Pole, a painted and lettered side for a Southern Pacific drop bottom gondola. Some magical way he, OLd HO-HO-HO-HO, The Man in the Red, knew I needed one and it came by Elfin Mail to me. Quite a Merry Chirismas !
***** Merry Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night ! ******

I had a chance at one of those Ken, at the last train show I went too and it was in MUCH worse shape then this one pictured! Sadly, the person that had the one I seen wanted WAY more then the whole thing was worth......REALLY, broken frame, and no trucks and nothing more then the top edge of the car and up. needed a whole new "flat" car to glue it too and I sure wasn't going to spend $20 in it as they wanted and sadly, wouldn't come down in price a red cent!
So.....I left it behind!

Wow! That is quite the christmas present!
I have one of those cars myself and it's great fun to operate. I like those cars that are produced in two scales, like a lot of AF HO scale offerings were the same as in their bigger S scale line, same with Lionel's OO scale trains and some of their HO.
Merry christmas to all!

It's easy for Ben...since he wants EVERYTHING, he only has to delete from his list what he has NOW. LOL . I got this AF HO tie flinger myself from a show, I don't have the loose ties for it, but it's in good shape, for about $20. One day I'll have to put together an "action" train of all the operating HO cars I have.

I think they would be too light, as the plastic ones get "thrown" out, I doubt the balsa version would work,or even feed properly, due to the light weight they have. I suppose you could try it, though.
