The beginning of the video, I had to have/make the little Patton Engineer, slow it down a bit, as she was "Highballing it" to the Never Neverland..... So, as you'll see in the second passing, the loco is much slower......

ENJOY!

Thanks guys!!!! This is the first year I ever planned to set it up, plan it out, and then see thru to take pictures and even a video that looked so well! The buildings.. are the wifes, for her "Christmas Village" and the trains as you all know are mine......

The video, turned out pretty good, I must say!

John, I take it that little bugger has a can motor? It's very quiet. Those little Camelback switchers are cool.

Eric & Nelson,

That little Mantua is factory, for the most part, (I added the B&O Capitol Dome on the boiler front)

It was bought new by my Grandmother back in the early 1990's, I've run the ever loving CRAP out of that little loco..... AND I have to add in here, it is the strongest loco I had for a VERY long time!!!! It to this day, it pull with my Articulated steamers!!!! In some cases, OUTPULL a few of them!

It came with a can motor, yes, and is almost silent running except on serious low-voltage, you can hear it "hum" by on low voltage but even then, at a 3 to 6 foot distance between it and a person, you have to really pay attention to hear it......In the video, it stands out more as the camera and mic is close enough to pick it up......

I have to say, this is one Mantua, that I'm truly attached too, its one of my favorites, and will be for a long time to come! Sadly, I'm doing a "test" with it, it has done "Christmas duties" since 2005............it hasn't been cleaned, or lubricated, since that time! I've used White Lithium Marine Grease, on the loco, the motor and the wheels, and it won't be touched as far as that till it doesn't run due to dirt on its wheels, OR one of the wheels squeaks....The SECOND that happens, it will be going in for a full tune-up, one squeak, one stutter, doesn't matter, it will be pulled and done......IT doesn't run non-stop tho, a few hours on and off thru the day, and then all evening long, and I check heat, on the power pack and on the motor.....Nothing to date, since 2005!!!!!!!!! Its last scheduled tune-up......

Merry Christmas everyone!

Ben,
Sadly, I can't, or couldn't have lited up all the buildings.. the "local" wall outlet, was only a 15 AMP rating.. the tree, AND the trains are running off that one outlet, which is just shy of the rating, at 12.5 AMPS!!!!!! As the 3 light sets and star plugged together, but the lights play music! SO.....I had to be careful HOWEVER, notice the white clear lights, "under" the tree, to "light" the village!

Ken so far, I have gotten good reviews and 100% complete satisfaction of operation of the train, it has not once derailed, jumped the tracks or stalled......So..........It has done yet again, very well... this little Mantua "Goat", will be doing Christmas Tree Service "CTS" for years to come!
