This is the train set I want for Christmas. But since it is gas powered, I will need a sound system with a 500 watt amp and speakers.

Cool train set!

The park down the street from my house runs 2 of those trains. I went looking one day and found a little tiny railroad spike by the side of the track. just like the big ones but only a couple inches high.

Beautiful piece of engineering Ken, but why is there a woman trapped inside the firebox?

If anyone out there wants to give me a live steam Hudson or Northern for Christmas, I can guarantee it will never be re-gifted.

Even 23" gauge would be good.

FRA regulations only apply down to 2-foot gauge. Own this and you'll need a qualified bridge inspector for any bridges you might have.

ben it was not me that got it,but it would have been fun ken
The 8 car SuperTrain was acquired by Bernie Paul of Associated Hobby Manufacturers (AHM), Philadelphia, Pa. and operated at some of his Big Buying And Selling Hobbies (Big BASH) train shows at the old PhilCo plant in the late 1970s. It was about 12" gauge, and only came with straight track. The 1st 4 cars contained the batteries, hydraulic drive, remote radio control, and dry ice powered leaking "steam" generator. At least those 4 cars had to be in the train for it to run
