AHM made in Yugoslavia switcher. I only see one pickup. How does this work?

Simple... it doesn't work, its actually missing one on the opposite side from the one seen......Have other loco's of the same to rob for parts? as that's pretty simply to remedy to get it running again!

I can just see the wiper behind the lower wheels. The upper wiper looks like it's riding the tread of the rear wheel.

Thanks, I think maybe I see a glimmer of lower wiper metal when the pic does a close-up. If I can get it cheap, I'll grab it. $7 on E-bay. Seller says motor is not connected to wheels, probably just a broken driveshaft. I expect I can fix that. It's a cute little switcher.

There's no drive shaft on these; the motor drives the axle directly through a worm. I see what the problem is now... the axle gear is stripped completely bare. A geared axle from any AHM Yugoslavian diesel with a vertical motor will fit.
