Here is my LOTW: It's a Bachmann HO wscale EMD GP38-2 in New England Central paint that I got for Christmas last year. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture, my stupid camera sucks.
I'm home schooled, I love to work on cars and anything with an engine and wheels, I love model RR'ing, and listening to Dire Straits.

Hey Ken, I meant to comment on the driveshaft in that 1948 Mikado. Looks like a nicely manufactured assembly. Be interesting to see some close-ups of the motor and drive train. Thanks, Barry

Bought this a while back, just got here this past Friday. MDC-Roundhouse Barnum & Bailey Circus 0-6-0T! A never finished kit in original box with all the parts and original instructions. Bought it off my boy Ray and been working on it! Replaced the contact plate screw, some rod pins, changed our the air compressor, put everything together, oiled it up and she's a good runner! Flywheel so slow speeds Just need to paint the main rods, and cylinder casting. Love it!

Well, I'd like to post my Ebay find from last week, but I can't get my Arc Soft photo editing program to install properly, and I'd like to do a Casey Jones on this "easy-to-use" Picasso program

Not much of a story. Got it at the gte show last January. Runs and looks great. It shares passenger responsibilities with my E7, Erie built, blue goose, f3 and f7

My LOTW:
A custom built railcar. It needs a geared truck to link to, which I have a few of. The hood really needs some louvers and maybe some exhaust piping. It might even look better with an open hood, no sides and just a \_/ brace to hold the top of the radiator into place. It would definitely need exhaust piping then. Needs a lot more undercarriage details and new front trucks too... But I like the idea of what this guy started...

Here is my LOTW. A highly detailed Bowser K4 picked up at a local train sale. I don't know if this is based off a real PRR locomotive or someone got carried away with the details. Runs nice though

I've been trying without success to post a photo of the Tyco ten-wheeler that I picked up on ebay last week. The price was South of $25.00. However, I'm having problems with Picasa, in spite of how "simple" they claim it is to use. Maybe someday. It is a nice locomotive, and I want to try to install headlights. Maybe when I get that done.
In the meantime, I'm rebuilding an AF 50-watt transformer with an external fuse rather than the internal circuit breaker that has weakened over time. Once this is done, I'll have my GML throttle back in service. More on this on another forum

Good morning everyone. Gerry Barry Nelson Buss Ken and Bob. I never has so much response to a post. It was built from a kit. I even had the original box. I threw the box away because of the Mold. This was the one made with bronze castings. Original motor worked well. I had 2 of them and they both were painted For the Out and Walk, Old and Weary, or whichever nick name you know of. * Thanks for the posts. frank

Bob - not sure what your particular issue is. I guess you have all your photos in Picasa or something? Some people like Picasa - we even have it available where I work - but I think it's crap myself Try this: copy your photos to a simple folder under your Documents. That way when you want to upload a photo, you can just hit the "Browse" button, find your photo, upload and you're done.

Bob, when you go to upload the photo, make sure the file name is simple... like "bowser.jpg" or something like that. I avoid the use of the underscore '_' and the file name can not have any spaces like "Bowser 1.jpg". The website will not recognize the file name then. I use no special uploading software or website. I have no idea what Picasa is either.. Just doi it from your computer pictures file. It's simple.
I also sent this as a pm...

Robert, I noticed that the web site administrator has a question about your user name. He has offered to change it for you. This could be part of the problem since your username is part of the way your photos are stored and retrieved. Also I usually convert any image to a JPEG before uploading it.
Just suggestions, John ****

Great suggestions, John. Once I get this thing straightened out, I'll wonder how I could be so stupid, but most people who know me know it's an acquired skill, at least on my part. The only shortcopming right now is that I can' send PM's because I haven't sent enough to qualify, but I have no way of knowing how I send enough to do that. Any suggestions you or any of the other list members have is most welcome, because I would like to get this resolved. Thanks again

Robert,
I have been told, by my friends on more than one occasion, that I was lacking in social skills. I just looked at my quote on my last post, and I fear I choose poorly. I try not to use quotes that may be deemed personal to a post. This quote was not directed at you. If the quote or any part of my post was taken personal, I apologize for my mistakes. I write a lot of technical emails and reports, and I tend to be to the point, sometimes that is blunt and rude. I only wished to help, not to be critical. I am sorry if I stepped over the line.

As one who has a frequent problem with saying what I think, at exactly the wrong time, I have gotten used to the taste of crow, which the cat won't touch. I saw nothing in your post that was out of line, in fact it was very helpful and I appreciate the help and advice I get on this list. I'm going to try to post a photo and see what happens

Hey! It worked! what you see is the Tyco 4-6-0 that I picked up on Ebay last week south of the $20.00 milepost. Apparently, I now know enough to drive everybody crazy with posting photographs. This little 4-6-0 is going to be a candidate for a constant lighting unit when ever the mule train gets here from wherever it comes from. While I'm waiting for that, I have a two-light setup that I bought more moons ago than i like to remember. I am going to try and install that in the AHM 0-4-0 that I posted a photo of a couple of weeks ago. So many thanks to all who helped me get this Picasa deal to work.

I love that NYO&W 2-8-4! On our last visit to New York, we snooped around Cadosia just a little bit, and saw the old depot and some of the ROW and bridge abutments where the line tokk off across the Deleware River. I saw a remaining remnant of the bridge in 1984. I could almost hear a freight train getting under way after a stop at Cadosia.
I have an S scale NYO&W boxcar. My story is that it got trapped on SHABBONA RR, and since they couldn't return it, they put it in the grain pool since it resembles the home road cars so much. I'll see if I can post a photo of it

Bob, speaking only for myself, you could no more drive me crazy than you could kill a corpse. Post away!

John, I love the flowchart. It has such a delightful "Red Green" sort of flavor.

I love it too, especially since I'm just finishing up my first semester of mechanical engineering.
