hi there, my name is charley and im from lil ol new zealand. i stumbled on this site while hunting info on the tyco canadiana. my main train-love is thomas and friends, but when i joined a local model railway club i got into HO just so i would have something to run. while i mainly run bachmann, my favourite is my canadiana loco and caboose. i have the standard diesel, but wouldnt say no to a shark nose. also hoping to find a couple or ten matching boxcars. lol. the caboose just arrived today, after i found it online for $5.
looking forward to learning about this seemingly elusive train, and about tyco trains in general.

" WELCOME CHARLIE " From " LIL OL " in the Nu Z lend. From pictures I have seen you live in quite a beautiful country. I am certain that there is a spare shark nose somewhere with in this group of people. You know the first ones were made of a cast metal ? For us old farts Tyco Marx Gilbert and a few other manufactures with our imagination were our form of the present computerized games. Nice talk-in to you. May you be successful in search for your trains. frank

thanks all for the friendly welcome.
we do have some beautiful scenery down here, and lots of rail lines. being a small country we are highly dependent on freight trains for hauling logs, milk and anything else that happens to be in a shipping container. the town where i live used to have a builders yard, but it was demolished in the 80s i think. all of the workshops here except one have been closed over the years, as we import all our locos and rolling stock from china. the remaining workshop carries out maintenance and repairs, no building.
