Hi All,
Nice stuff! Those B&O F's are nice
My LOTW is one of two engines a friend of mine gave me yesterday. I did not get a chance to ask any questions about them so maybe some of you could help ID it. It has a metal chassis on the loco and tender. No markings on chassis.
Thanks for any help.

Mantua/Tyco shifter - There were older ones with die cast boilers and newer ones like yours with a plastic boiler and a traction tire on the left rear driver.
That's in really nice shape. Must have been gently used.

Rivarossi E8 in Amtrak Phase I colors, its non-powered twin is coupled behind it. These started out as PRR units, and I also put an Athearn FP45 chassis with a NWSL motor under it. The side frames almost matched up perfectly with the FP45 wheels.

JNXT: Nice engine pair! Custom painted by you? Are the Amtrak logos decals or masked and painted? I'm also curious about that forklift in the background. Is it scratchbuilt?

Do you still have the crank pin? On all the Rivarossi engines that I have, they just screw into the wheels. It may have just been too loose and come unscrewed.

Thanks Cheez - yes I painted them in the Amtrak colors, the Amtrak logos are Microscale decals. The forklift is not a scratch-build, it came in a Woodland Scenics set I lucked into at a flea market.

Hi All,
scsshaggy, Thank you very much for the information. Do you have a rough idea when it was made or a span of time?
JNXT 7707, I really like that Amtrak E8, nice work.
Thanks for sharing

My LOTW:
Brass HO scale 4-8-8-4 Big Boy - Tenshodo Signature Series

This model has been fully restored. It was purchased for $100 as a total basket case. I sent it to a friend of mine, Brian. He restored it and brought it back to its former glory. He did it on trade for a Akane 2-6-6-4 Articulated I had that also needed restored. It was a good deal for me and he got an engine off of me that he had been trying for some time to get.
It now resides in my office at work.

Great locomotives. Great photos. When I first opened this part of the forum, I thought the first photo [Thomas'] was a prototype; great lighting!

Thanks Barry. I can thank IKEA for the lighting... its one of those clamp-on flexible gooseneck lights. Makes it easy to put a spot of light where you need it on the layout. - Thomas

I think they've been in a few videos. I don't remember off hand, but I know they're buried on youtube somewhere.

My LOTW is an HO scale Bachmann EMD SD40-2 in CP Rail paint.
I bought it at a train show this past April.
I'm home schooled, I love to work on cars and anything with an engine and wheels, I love model RR'ing, and listening to Dire Straits.

I'll try to upload my loco of the week, a couple of shots of my "blackface" J.W. Bowker. I bought it without a boiler front, and got the one it has now from Ebay. It's actually for the 4-6-0 or 4-8-0, but it does fine in this role, I think. This little engine is a good runner.

Changes to this engine include 28" wheels under the tender. In the future, I may convert it to tender pickup, as well, to aid the pickups on the drivers

WELL..................ALL the B&O.......I'd SWEAR someone, or SOMEONES were tryin' to get my attention!
Not a bad way of doing it......
But anyway, thought I'd post some of my latest "finds"....

Mantua 2-8-2, CAMELBACK......for $10.00? YEP I'll take it!
THEN.....

MDC Roundhouse 4-4-2, for yep you see that right, your eyes do not lead you astray!!!! 3 BUCKS! (I didn't EVEN think, of arguing that price!)
2 for the price of one, for the LOTW? OR, pick one yourself!!!! Was the "finds" from today's Willington, Mass Greensburg show......More "OTW" series, coming.......

I couldn't Nelson...... the thing actually runs, and does so very well...... not something I'm used to saying for MDC from others that have built, and allowed them to sit for what looks to be years on end, I had to blow it off once I picked it up!
But considering I got the Camelback AND the MDC from the same table.... I couldn't argue for $13.00!!!!!!!

Sometimes you can substitute a 1-72 machine screw for the original 2mm screw. I've done it in the past
