I recently completed these four.... The F7 B Unit is in the process of being completed again..... The were black athearn undecorated shells. I put an undercoat of white paint- testors enamel and I then used Badger Western Pacific orange. Testor's Dellcoat was used after the Microscale decals were applied. One of the SW7's is missing the rear handrails as I have to paint them.

Yep; the AF Kid likes his NJ transit and Amtrack trains. Did you see his latest passenger equipment . He posted a photo yesterday listed a Allentown train show. frank

I think I have 17 MoW engines... All are Amtrak except for 2-CSX. Some are original Athearn, Atlas and AHM/Rivarossi production.

Nice work. I don't see many people modeling any Amtrak MOW engines, much less a whole roster of them.

Sometimes they are not that easy to do. I paint the shells white, then I use Badger Western Pacific paint. Which is a water based paint. It is tricky to apply as it has to be applied in thin coats. After each one dries you spray it again. After the decals are appiled I use a dullcoat as all of the Athearn and AHM MoW produced engines are that way. The problem with using the dullcoat is that if that handled alot it get dirty from the dirt/oils on ones hand. I have a whole fleet of NJT/Amtrak/Metro North engines and passenger cars. I used to work for NYC Transit (Subway) for a couple of years....
