My catch of the week. I was angling for an Aristo-Craft 2-6-0. I lost the bidding on that one, but managed to land this 0-6-0. It was listed as brand new, but when I got it, it wouldn't run, leading me to wonder. Anyway, I set it aside to handle some other chores. This morning, I decided to take a photo of it with the headlight lit to post it here, but lo and behold, the seas opened up and I saw some sparks in the cab. A little finagling and it ran, beautifully. I had to run it a bit, and give it another soaking of contact cleaner, and lube the axles and the worm gear, but when I was done, it runs like a champ. For the price I paid, I believe I got a deal

Well, I see the photo didn't post. I'll try again later

Robert,
I don't intend to be rude or picky, but this post would be better served if it were under Loose Ends or All The Others Not Mentioned . Listed as a reply to a current LOTW posting would be OK too.

Note pattern for previous posts for the LOTW forum.

Regards,
John

I know you don't approve, Pop, but believe me, until you've had a good cigar and a shot of whiskey, you're missing the second and third best things in life. <> Horton - Paint Your Wagon
