I'm trying to upload two of COTW purchases, but having a problem, so be patient until I work it out.

!st on the list is this Mantua/Tyco drover's caboose.

I first saw these on Ebay and that ws my first inkling that they existed. I decided I had to have one, so I lurked in the bushes next to the place where they were to pass by, and snagged this one out of the mouth of a huge catfish in the Des Moines River. Of course, the catfish may have spit it out because of it carries Santa Fe lettering, but since I spent 36 years of servitude there, that don't bother me none.

Next on the list

I've been trying to build a KANSAS CITY, St. LOUIS & CHICAGO passenger train. I lost the bidding on a three car set of KC,StL&C coaches a few weeks ago, and this one almost got away, too. The seller started an Ebay action because he had not received payment for the car after I won the auction. I advised him that I hadn't bid on the car, but the price was right, and with his permission I would purchase it. Everything worked out and I landed this beauty on the shore of the Des Moines River near Bonaparte, IA. Everybody was happy. I received a treasure (in my eyes), and he maintained his 5-star rating

Finally, #3

Finally, I bought this little 0-4-0 on Ebay on a whim. I had seen so much talk about it that I decided that I hsd to have one. I certainly am not disappointed. It's a fine little runner. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it (or the rest of the HO collection I've amassed over the past few months, but it is a net little engine and I like to run it on my 3 ft. section of test track

I should have more soon, but this is it for now. The Bachmann 4-4-0 is now serviceable and has been running on a test track that had been lengthened to 6 feet.
