My car of the week is a TYCO red box offering. I had one already, but the Yellow and Red Hercules guy, which is a sticker, had been picked off.

So....I'll toss in one of the week, or a few anyway
I found these today:

The tank car and caboose will probably become parts for other custom builds.....The C&O Flat car, if the person is interested, will end up traded unless he has no interest, then it will remain as is, and be super detailed and added to my own collection......

since I STILL can't get my brother to join this forum this is his COTW (though my idea for him to do it)

now the concept behind the car:
up until the early 1960's the Pacific electric (and by that time southern pacific) would haul Arrowhead spring water near the source in specially designed tank cars. as the years went by, the tank cars age offset the cost of upkeep and SP abandoned the water train service.
in the "modern PE" concept, the railroad purchased new cars and of course continued to haul water to the Arrowhead plant, also getting a specialized contract to brewdoggs Beer and ale brewery delivering mountain spring water direct to the brewery, hence the need for the cars on the New Havana branch!
so far I have 3 cars....may get more I'm not sure....
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

Believe it or not.... I walked in the place I bought these cars and if I only had the money to get ONE. It would have been hard to choose..... the C&O flat car, and that caboose.....
BUT, I didn't have to pick. But I got that caboose for that VERY reason, a logging caboose to go with the train, I'm building up. BUT it also have other B&O "mainline" potential too! Like you said, A LOT can be done with it and the wheelbase of that caboose is almost TWICE that of ANY Mantua, or TYCO "Bobber" I've seen so.....I just HAD to have it as a parts supply......I'll be sure to note what happens as it is being done. Due to my nearest "project" my shop is gonna "grow" I found some un-used space blocked in by a wall that's gonna have a doorway made into it for a "hallway" type, shaped stock room!

EM-1, that caboose looks very familiar. A friend of mine from church gave me the remains of the very same one, its an old Silver Streak car from the early 50's. I'm rebuilding mine into a pennsy N6B cabin car, which aside from the side windows is a very easy build.
My COTW would be another silver streak caboose I found at the flea market last sunday, in mint condition with kadees and window glazing all for $8, but my camera seems to be missing.

Connor, Thanks for the info on the caboose. I love the fact this car, has a BUNCH of possibilities....I will be making some of one item out of it that could have a base for many things...I just have to think what one, I want the most!
but, I'm gonna make a mold of that side "rail" with bearings as the "stretch" it is, would be GREAT to have for other similar builds! So.....And being THAT old, well, I can put it to good use!
