Hey all,
Well two good things. One, the store near me has EGGNOG!!!
Two, the local Dollar Tree store has Christmas village items for sale now. While the buildings were too small for my O-gauge "Tinplate Pacific" layout, I found some non-snowy trees, 2 for $1. I bought 5 packs to start with, and, though a tad small, they still add some "sense of place" to the layout, and take away that empty, flat feeling that the layout had previously.
I also bought some brick road from Dollar Tree, and I like it much better than the sandpaper asphalt I started out with.
