My "observation" is that your coach is outstanding, Redwoods! Nice piece, never seen that one before. My car is a dome car, of the B & O variety, as I like them and Obs cars in general with their rounded rear ends. I've collected quite a few of the Obs individually. Domes I"m working on.

Custom excursion made from a Con-Cor SP lark scheme coach. Cut in half, weights glued to the bottom, about 85% of the seats in place. Still got to get 3 or 4 more for the middle section.

Was from a Con-Cor smooth side coach, I simply just cut it in half. I have 2 matching ones seen here. Therefore it's a matching consist so to speak.

figured I'd do another Tyco "what if" (been a while)
[/URL] ths entry started its life as a flaking "chrome" tank car repainted to represent an SP liquid sugar car, this and another tank car soon to be photographed will be sent to Dr Pepper at industry flats to make "retro" Dr. Pepper special runs
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

Ra, The solid orange tank set up in the background, what exactly, is that? Also the one further away, that's orange and blue as well... interesting buildings to say the least!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the tank car, your custom painting? Looks GREAT! What is the brand make of that car? Difficult to tell from the picture!

oh yeah it's tyco kinda what differentiates me from my brother, all my train stuff is reworked tyco, AHM, old school life like even the "cheap" Bachmann (though I do get oddities here and there.
I buy 'em, then we paint and decal them into something more "up to date" so to speak or something we think Tyco should have done during the brown box era. to me it gives me great satisfaction when I display my stuff for "purists" and they shake their head in disbelief that it started life as a Tyco engine, car or even an action accessory!

Ray, That's awesome, I sort of, do the same thing......I enjoy it, and that's what it suppose to be!
GREAT job tho! Kinda like how I took the Bachmann Cylindrical Hoppers, and done them up in B&O, Chessie System, and I think even one in CSX! AND, they look good!
These:

I'd post the Chessie System I done, but I don't have the pictures uploaded yet to post them!

| Ray I like what you're doing as well. The finish on that tank car looks real clean and your layout in the background looks pretty interesting. In my rather low budget game, I get much satisfaction taking an inexpensive model and seeing what paint will do. I would imagine if one is a true collector, then the ideal situation would be preserving the factory work all the way. Que sera. Regards. Barry

Ray, those were both lettered for Santa Fe, #314783. Bachmann never called them what they truly are either, they were known as 51ft Grain Cars, where they actually are 51ft Cylindrical Hoppers.....Yes, used for grain but still.....
