Hello everyone, I just received a call from Dave. He is donating most of the lot(s) of stuff he had on here for sale; to the "Trains for Tots" program. He really is a top notch model railroader; and nice guy too.
Thanks Dave
Randy

+1 on that. Need more folks like him on these forums.

Thanks Cheese. You remember me? There was a C-630 in our past.

I envy your Chessie 630 deeply.....Mine has a good side, and well, a side that's incomplete to say the least. Got in a trade deal with a couple other engines from a friend last year and I mechanically overhauled it and it runs like a champ and put all the handrails back on that I was given but it still lacks the entire handrail set on the right side as well as the right side trucks...
Hopefully someday I'll make it a complete engine, least it runs great which was all that mattered to me for the moment. Still wish mine looked like yours...

The body on yours looks like it's in great shape! Truck frames and railings are easy fixes...finding them is the trouble. At least it photographs well (from the one side anyway)!

Many years ago, the "Cheese" and I were on another forum and he mentioned he wanted a Chessie, Century series. I had just stumbled onto a large lot of stuff for a fair price and in that lot were two, new in the box 630's. So I got busy at the post office and one of them went to Canada.

Hi everyone, it is a good day here. Dave from MD sent me a nice box of train goodies for the kid's program. There was some very nice stuff in the box and I will tell you that Dave is a good packer.
Regarding the Seybold Corporation's C-630; what all does it need? Right, long handrail, 2 side frames and 2 number board inserts?
