my lady loves to tag sale (garage sale or flea market to some people) I go along just to keep her company (and keep the peace at home) I happened to spot a box of toys in an out of the way corner and this is what I got for $10
this is a mantua articulated from 83-85 with plastic boiler shell in poor shape






the drive train is in tact and the motor runs but wheels don't turn Suspect worm gear problem.
will turn it into a B&A class NE-2c #1307 that I have wanted to add to my fleet.
also got these






the first one is a GLOBE reefer the last 3 are from KURTZKRAFT. I don't think the PS-1 is prototype but it looks cool. also got a bunch of underframes and doors as well as a bag of other misc. small parts

While rare, good HO train finds at yard / tag sales are usually fun. And getting them cheap is a bonus! Good scores, sometimes it pays to hang out with the wife.
