While browsing the close to ending auctions on ebay a couple of nights ago I stumbled across this lot of Tyco-Lok track. The starting bid was $10, no bids, one hour until the auction end. Easy win and man am I excited.
There looks to be around 30 pieces of standard Tyco track, plus a lap-counter, plus two full sets of Hi-Banked Curves! Lately I've seen those Hi-Banked curves sell upward of $40 per set.

Looks like a nice lot for the price. Occasionally a good deal becomes a great deal via Ebay. Glad you snagged one of those.

It should be a nice lot for a future layout. The curves look to be a mixture of 9" and 12" which adds the possibility for a 4 lane track!

Walt these 2.......Cheez, AND AMC, got me going, I have had only one of these back in the 80's, but never went far with it...NOW, I am not exactly seeking it out, BUT, I am keeping my eye open for some to see if I can set up something on my layout for "roads" with moving cars and trucks!
BUT, unlike my train collection, I plan to keep this one under wraps a bit......I can't afford a divorce

For quick set-ups I prefer Life-Like track, but I like the old Tyco track as a base for layouts. It feels a lot sturdier than other track, except of course for the connecting tabs... A drop of hot glue seems to solve that problem on permanent layouts.
John, you just need to work the slotcars in with your existing train set-up. Who knows, maybe your wife will like them. My ex used to like racing me, granted she'd always choose the stickiest Life-Like cars, hold down the trigger and do laps around me. It took me a while to figure out how stacked those cars were in comparison to the Tyco cars I always chose.
