| It runs on N scale track. It is HOn30, there's a difference between HOn3 and HOn30. HOn30 is 2 foot gauge and HOn3 is whatever EBT and Rio Grande run on.

It's possible that a previous owner re-gauged it to HOn3. The difference between N-gauge and HOn3 is only 1.5mm.

All of the Eggerbahn items that I have run fine on N-gauge track.

| Weird. Will needs lots of work, the rods aren't set right. Can't beat the price though.

| -shrugs- Looks fine now. I got 1 and half of those engines. 1 that works and another that is kaput. My first one barely worked until I had gotten a new chassis for it, the original had succumbed to zinc rot, pest, or whatever it's called.

Those were sold as AHM MiniTrains. http://tycotrain.tripod.com/ahmhoscaletrainscollectorsresource/id85.html
Up until a few years ago no one thought the saddle tanker had made it further than the drawing board, but I've since seen them on eBay quite a few times.
They were brought back to the market a few years ago, and retooled with a quality drive and blackened wheels.

There's always a guy at the Greenberg show who has them buzzing around a small layout. They're smooth runners.
