I remember the original MR review saying that it couldn't do tight radius curves or turnouts without derailing and tipping over and that, whether by accident or design, the flame would extinguish itself every time. From my own experience with Mamod tractors, I can tell you that the little booger will get quite hot.
There's nothing quite like working live steam, once you get a whiff of that hot oil, burning meths and the scent of steam under pressure...you're hooked...

I simply can't afford "Live Steam" BUT boy would I if I could!
I have a friend that has a Live Steam 2-8-2 and that thing stinks as its the crap!
