Hello all, I just splurged on a Mantua 0-8-0 steam loco off Ebay. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what year this was offered. It is Northern Pacific, 0-8-0, CAN motor, smoke unit, comes in the fancy maroon box with styrofoam insert, and is still made in the USA. It comes with optional knuckle couplers.

Sounds last years of production circa 1990's, redbox. Want one of them myself!!
Ho scale trains resource only shows the more modern 0-8-0 with the smoke unit were made 1992-1994. I don't believe it was that brief but I can't be sure.

Thanks, All, I'll post a pic when it arrives. I've been away from this site for a while, but plan on getting back into it--I've got some goodies to post. Maybe I'll start with my Bowser 4-4-4-4 T-1. Probably next, my Tyco E7, UP City of San Francisco (which has its box and is for sale by the way!). I may put several items up, as my wife's car decided to die this week! I've got some nice steam, including Bachmann Spectrum, and also some Penn Line/Bowser, like the Pennsy 2-8-0, H-10. Stay tuned! Chris
