Guys,
I have seen this caboose before, and I hate to say this, I seen it as a "grounded" caboose, that is a damned shame......Its an almost PERFECT B&O class "I" caboose, number 1599.....

See:

Any idea of who made it, and if it was an actual car, or was it always a "shanty" type thing like the Revell Engine Crew Shanty

No. T-9033 Seen here:

Any help is AWESOME, Just don't know if that's the only one of that body type the B&O had, I've found only one picture and that single road number so......BUT, I have not yet exhausted all my resources on this one.....BUT I nailed this at the show this weekend, for 50 cents! So.......Couldn't help myself, as its one, I don't have!

Looks like a Revell Caboose, they made 8 different roadnames. ( B&O, UP, SP, CP, ACL, ATSF and 2 New Havens) They also used the caboose shell to make the Yardmaster's Office.

Bill,
Thanks for that, I have seen this same caboose shell a few times ands each time it was used as a Yard office as you mentioned and was wondering if it was ever used as a real caboose, and as I said its a dead model to the B&O's class "I" caboose, wooden cupola type, as they had them classed....

I did have a question, I had a look at your profile to see if you had your name listed, You wouldn't have bought a Big Boy, a few months ago for a fellow on here and having issues with the running of it due to seemingly dirty wheels over and over and want to get traction bands for it by any chance?
