I suppose it is my turn to 'fess up.
I took the plunge and just ordered a Broadway Limited 2-8-2 Light Mikado , A.T.&S.F.
I just ordered it from Modeltrainstuff.com [always a nice discount there] so I do not have it yet. However here is some info about it
http://www.broadway-limited.com/2901usralightmikado2-8-2atsf3141paragon2sounddcdccho.aspx
Finally,,for me a just right sized Santa Fe steam loco

I think my other slippery slope is junk box diving or getting steam engines in despair on eBay and eventually will get them detailed and painted. Can't help myself! Keep saying no more projects but they keep lining up every year!

The Hickory, NC train show this past weekend produced a few more items:
Red Box Armour reefer:

I still need a few more of these!
Quad hoppers:

The Maimed & Still Limping is Bachmann; I think the Penn Central and Santa Fe are AHM.
And some more Tyco operating hoppers:
Nothing I don't already have, but I have only one other Navy car, and it's in rough shape; this one is in pretty good shape. The Navy cars have proved quite difficult to find, at least for me. I've seen only one other one, and the dealer wanted quite a bit more than I was willing to pay! I have plenty of Virginian hoppers, but this is the first boxed hopper of any roadname I have found (not counting unloading sets), so I snatched it up.

Anybody want junk for a couple of bucks and shipping, PM me. I got a bunch of Tyco hoppers I need to sell off in different road names: Rock Island, MSLW, Virginia, etc. Remainders of this model train estate. I really don't want this stuff to get trashed. Please! Take my wife!

A free gift from Chops - Roco Austria Reading 4-bay hopper probably sold as AHM:
 Thanks Chops!
This one managed to arrive safe and sound, no thanks to the US Postal Service! The whole package arrived inside a plastic bag with a note from the postmaster apologizing for the damage the package sustained!

And the CenterFlow obsession continues...
Not Tyco, but for 5 bucks I couldn't help myself. It's a little dingy and slightly scuffed, but the simple livery and wealth of data just appealed to me, like it might actually exist in real life.

PC and AT&SF are Model Power offerings from the 1990s. The AT&SF in that scheme also was offered by Bachmann.

I am getting down right paranoid about shipping by USPS. Got doors and brake wheels from Shaygetz with a black tire tread across it, also in a plastic evidence baggie and a note telling me how they care. Amazingly, the contents were fine.

The PC and AT&SF liveries match those shown on the HO Trains Resource website under AHM, so that's why I thought AHM.

When I started sliding down the Mantua reefer slope, I figured it was a foregone conclusion that the collection would never really be "complete" since I never figured on finding an Armour Kahn's error car, at least at a price I was willing to pay. Well I found one:
Not perfect, but for some things you can't be choosy!

Here's the Armour car:

Here's the Kahn's car:

The error car has the Kahn's lettering and the Armour logo.

It's stuff like this that just grabs me. I can't afford to collect "Flying Jenny's," and stamps don't do anything, that just sit there and look pretty. This little collection of reefers is just so darn tweakin' cool. I guess GMoney is having himself a little case of "Reefer Madness!"
I'd enjoy seeing a little video of this making its way around your trainscape, G. A little switcher and a bobber caboose would do oh so sweetly.

I'm gonna dig this one up because I've recently become afflicted with TOHD. I only have 5, but more will come.

I also tend to buy anything Durango I can find... I need more!!!

Power Torque Steam Locomotives...

I also have a weird obsession with Southern Pulpwood cars (or Tyco Bulkheads in general) I have 3, and get them every chance I get. I also want the C630's and GG1's.

It's been awhile since I updated this topic, but the last train show I attended netted these:
A Tyco red box Morrell's Pride reefer:

and a Tyco red box Santa Fe Super Chief reefer:

This brings me a little bit closer to completing the red box reefer collection!

Glad to see you in the mix again, Gmoney. I was just running that LL Conrail GP38 I bought off you a couple of years ago. It still works great. Then I went through a phase where I felt compelled to buy just about anything with the CR logo on it. It lasted a good while, but I think I've managed to break the obsession. Then came CP Pac Man logo... https://youtu.be/GGPLbcXXoFI

Well, GMoney, I see you started this thread back in 2013. Nothing has changed! I swore feverently I'd never get into those odd extra long Tyco tankers, now I got like a dozen.
The only one of any merit is a boxed Tyco Coca Cola mega triple dome. I don't run it very often because I am downsized to 18 inch curves. I am going to put it up on eBay shortly, unless anyone here wants to throw a number at me. Mint condition, box is intact, fair. Only been used by a little old lady who drove it to church on Sundays.

Chops, those triple domes will easily negotiate 18” radius curves, unless you don’t have the side clearance!

For some reason I had some difficulty finding the Mars car out in the wild.  I’m sure I would have found it easily online, but hunting them down is more fun, IMHO.
