The custom 4-10-0 I'm kitbashing, and using Mantua 0-4-0 drivers. I know the one driver was cut to have and use traction tires. I know it may be un-necessary to use, but what drivers should have them? The only drivers that'll retain the flanges will be the front and rear drivers (middle 3 will be blinded.)

Usually the geared driver would have the traction tire so that under heavy loads, the geared driver is doing the work instead of the siderods. However, I do not think blind drivers were ever cut for traction tires, and I am assuming that one of the blind drivers will be your geared driver.
I would try it without a traction tire, and if you need extra traction, then pop in the traction tire on the front or back. (or use a helper engine)
BTW, I'm looking forward to seeing your 4-10-0.

That's one of my favorites too.

It's the epitome of brutish helper power. I can't wait to see yours.
