blackstone1 - No they came with Alco 430 - there was a 630 Super Spirit of 76 set sold around the same as this - JC Penneys had it in the 1976 wishbook. I am currently working on wishbook trains vol #2 which has taken close to 4 years to get all the images of Tyco and a few other train cataloged in the 70's and early to mid 80's - I still have a few more catalogs to purchase before i can begin the process of editing for video. This video will cover all the other years not in vol 1. There may be enough to make a vol 3 wishbook trains.

My LOTW:
I've added a new Lionel New Haven Rectifier to my collection of them. It was in a lot of a bunch of junk diesel locomotives and parts that I purchased for ~$41 inc s/h. I'll sell off the rest of the stuff and get most if not all my $ back. It is complete with the chassis. The chassis was torn apart, but all the parts were included in the lot.

Here are the rest of them:

Not too hard. Takes some patience. Need to make sure all the chassis geared parts are well lubed. The hard part is to keep it running smoothly. Rather a high maintenance engine. The brass versions have metal parts which are much mote dependable as long as they are lubed. I have both and I can tell you, sometimes it is worth the extra $100 to know if it sits after several years, add a little oil it it fires right up. The plastic parts come unglued and need attention on a regular basis.
I think they look great and take detail very nicely. I have several of them, but not a big fan of their dependability.

Finally, finally, finally I got the Chessie SD24 and the colors do not disappoint, she is really beautiful. I put it side by side with the Chessie C630, C430, and the Chessie F7 and SD24 blows them away. The huge Chessie logo on the front alone is better that all the other ones, it's so sweet. You guys have all seen this before, but I’m too happy not to include this in the Loco of the week!
