ok, so this tyco 0-8-0 i have, its red wire leading to the motor block broke. what am i supposed to do?

Resolder will help. If ya got 24-26AWG wire, replace it!

Well, the wires are soldered, if you intend to fix it correctly, you need a soldering iron. You can also get some tiny ring terminals and use the screw that holds the brush plate to the motor to hold the wire on, too, as they go to the metal conducting tabs. If you want to just temp fix it, strip the insulation back,and screw it down carefully under the screw through the correct brush plate conducting tab.
