Got a $5 kit a the LHS the other day...

A 97' ( ! ! ! n i n e t y - s e v e n . f o o t . l o n g ! ! ! ) tank car, for 60,000 gallons (!!!!!!) of propane???! Holy crap! O.O
Apparently everyone else had the same response: few shippers needed the economy, railroads feared the headaches and route clearance,s and facing the apocalyptic notion of more of these cratermakers lurking about, the ICC banned them and all similar (yet smaller!) cars soon after the lone experimental prototype was built.

But still: a rolling bomb bigger than an autrack or 86' HC...? How terrifyingly awesome is that...!

My COTW didn't put me in a pickle this week, a Revell pickle car. I've picked up a few more Revell cars the last couple weeks at my LHS. First one of these for me, because it is in such fantastic shape, I had to get it.
