Starting off this "good year" is my next COTW, a Varney Goodyear tanker. Picked up some very fine vintage rolling stock this past week at my LHS Local Hobby Shop, finally got some new used stuff in. Most is like new, I also bought a Marx, more Varney, Mantua and Tyco, and some Revell as well. Better than some train shows I'd been to lately! Anyway, this tanker seems to sell high on the 'bay, been wanting one, and this one, although the stickers are drying and coming off, is in super shape.

May join my Nascar consist one day.

A couple months back I bought a set of Tyco Rio Grande streamliners. Everything was near mint except that the combine had several large chunks missing from its skirts. I was lucky enough to find a lone combine up for auction on the bay a few weeks back. It arrived today, and in much nicer shape than my original

I found these two old Marx O gauge cabooses at an antique store today. I figured the rusty one looked so forlorn, that it needed a new home, and of course the other had to come along with it. $8 apiece (perhaps a little high, but trains are few and far between out here), a both should be excellent runners.
