My COTW is a Mantua tunnel clearance car. It will be converted for use on the Getaway and Cabooze excursion train as a party car, as it has more than adequate cooler storage for beer. And the passenger area will be Party Central.

Here's AHM's classic Polaroid Land Film boxcar, but with decals in place of the card stock Polaroid logo and the tampo-applied text:

I always thought this was a great subject for a boxcar, but I was slightly disappointed with the glued-on paper decoration and the fact that the ladders were left off to accomodate it. The bright white sides make it a perfect candidate for ink jet decals.

Are you saying you created this example yourself? If so, very cool!

Thanks Glenn! Yes, I made this one myself starting with a re-paint. The decals were fairly easy to make because of the simple geometric shapes in the logo. The hardest part was color matching them to the original.

This was a gift from my sister-in-law. She found it in an antique mall in Albemarle, NC for $5.60, a reasonable price for it, especially from an "antique" dealer!
All the end steps are intact and it even has the brake wheel! Yes, I know the roof goes to the Monon car and not this one, but that's how I got it. The great thing is that I have a Monon car that needs a roof, so it works out perfectly! Sometimes the fates are smiling!
