I followed the instructions that were given in my prior post asking for help posting pics. The picture is a jpeg. Everything seems to go fine. When I click on the link in the File Attachment Box, the picture opens up in a window, so I know I have the right link to the picture. After I click the "Click here to display the image in your message" line, the IMG link shows up in my message. So far so good. When I preview it, I get no picture, just a box with a red "x" indicating the picture cannot be found. I thought it might just be the preview function, so I posted the message. When I looked at the message, I saw the same thing I did in the preview. What am I missing?

I mentioned before, you have to have a certain number of posts BEFORE you can post pictures. I thought it was 10, might be 20. Anyway, how many posts have you done so far?

| It's more than 10, but not 20. I do get the little camera icon. I don't think that was there before 10 posts. Iwas able to do everything the instructions said successfully, even view the picture after the upload step. It put the link in the post, just no picture showed up.

Just posted a test picture from another machine running Windows 7 and it worked OK. I hope it's not a Vista issue as the machine I tried to post a picture from previously was a Vista machine.
Previously I also uploaded the picture directly from the camera. Don't know if that was the issue. It was a jpeg. This time I uploaded from a directory on the computer.
Both ways the same things occurred, just that from the first the picture didn't show in the message and on the second, it did.

Yes, the pic upload utility is a bit fickle sometimes, it is probably better to upload from the PC than the camera. Might want to try it both ways on this Win 7 PC see if it makes a difference. Vista could be not seeing the Tycoforums format somehow. At least you're crankin' now!
