haha we have 3 cats! I only let one of them into my garage but then he tried to jump on my layout board so I have to monitor him when he's in the garage...

Great kitty pics guys! Have several cats too. Had to load this Redtailed Hawk photo that I took a few months ago. This guy (or gal) landed in my backyard and got to stay overnight inside. Photo was taken just minutes before he flew away... Never thought I'd get to touch one of these...

OMGOMG. ARE WE POSTING CAT PICTURES? :D
Jim, congratz on the new family member. She looks really happy.
The rest of the cats here are also very cute. Walt, your cat appears to have a lot of feathers. Maybe you should get that checked out?

Dawwww. Congrats, Jim! I sure do miss my Siamese. She was 18 when she passed. Nice pride there, SCVRR!
Walt...that is crazy. In a good way. My father has been a trustee/camp manager/go-to guy for an 89 acre private Boy Scout camp in Mississippi for the better part of 60 years. Out there, I have seen bald eagles...and their eaglettes, at the top of an ancient pine tree. Plenty of hawks, too. I've never *petted* them.
The long-standing caretaker at that camp (who passed in the 90's at the age of 97) hand-fed an owl, raccoons, skunk, and an otter. In fact, the skunk followed him around like a cat.

Excellent cat pics if I say so!
I don't have any furry companions now (a family member is allergic) but those Siamese sure reminded me of my cats when I grew up. They were loud and always happy to greet anyone. And they sure loved playing the part of "destructive monster" when they snuck into the layout room.

Tch, you guys haven't got your cats "train-trained" yet? Sheesh! I don't have a layout, but I do occasionally put up some track for trains to run, and the cats quite frankly aren't sure what to make of them yet.

Well Jerry you didn't ask! I only let one cat into the garage where my layout is and its the light brown fluffy cat named TJ that's because he loves following me and wants to know wha tI'm doing, the dark siamese cat Sai Sai is skidish and is afraid of others, he loves our family and our newest cat TJ but hes afraid of basically everything except food When I set up trains this year around the tree the cats loved watching them, they didn't attact them they just watched so their good Jerry Our third cat we just call kitty girl being she just showed up at our house in 2001. She rules the house and never has really cared about the trains. My family and I have always loved the Siamese breed, personally I think their ther best being their calm sweet nature and the fact that they live long. We had a Siamese live for 21 years! Just passed December 2011 that's where TJ the new cat came into play.

Yay, kitties! I'm always a big softy for those. I grew up with several, but didn't have one of my own recently owing to my wife's allergies. As it happens she had some other related issues and the allergies seemed to abate with treatment...
...just in time for our neighbors to abandon their house and all other property, including their pets. They left their Great Dane locked and abandoned in the house for nearly two weeks, but the cat was "lucky" enough to be outside. We got the dog rescued, and rescue-dopted the cat. They had called him "Mr. Daisy" as their kid(s) named him as a kitten in 2000 before realizing he was a male, ha ha. This past Christmas, Bethany addressed us some presents from "Mr. Dazey" - dang, she's a genius. ;)
He's a streetwise tough and jaded old soul (so trains don't phase him at all - neither does the vacuum), but a patient sweetheart who indulges being used as a pillow, as you can see.

"Franky" was saved from a wild litter under our home. He was the runt and had pneumonia.. The wife saved him with meds and TLC..."Stinky" was a stray...someone threw her out of a car in front of our house. We found her under one of our vehicles. They are both about 7ish in age. She is faster than the speed of light ...he's as smart as a box'a rocks...

Yes my wife named her after Chessie the Sleeping Kitten, and from the very beginning she's had a habit of trying to bite anyone who pets her, so I started calling her Chessie the Bleeping Kitten! She has mellowed some lately, however.
