I mentioned this set in my welcome thread, but thought I would start a thread with it as the subject. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm looking for this set. Would love to find one in good to mint condtion like Brian found. See this thread:
I got this set for Christmas in 1977. Have no idea what ever happened to it, but would love to own it again to jog some memories. I noticed there was an "Important Notice" in Brian's set that seemed to indicate a new locomotice, the Royal Blue, was included. Looking at the 1977 sear catalog, it showed the locomotive as being a "Sante Fe". What's up with that? Was that something Tyco did? Or did Sears do that? Does Brian have some sort of Limited edition set? I can't remember which locomotive was included in mine.
