I'm looking at the Athearn S-12 and SW-7 for parts for my 2 SW-7's. Are the frames the same length? I'm using the trucks, but, are the same lenght, I can keep them whole.

The Athearn S-12 and SW-7 use the same frame. They are interchangable.
