Here is the very hard to find Athearn/Cox Trains F7A in Penn Central. Only Cox offered this scheme (along with the matching GP35).

Nice find.
I hunted for one of those for quit some time. I finally found one, not as nice as yours though.
I am sitill looking for the PC GP35.
I'll find one the day after I paint my own.

It looks like it has the diecast sideframes, so I guess it was 70's production with the oval Jet motor?

Yes, around 73-76 I think.
I mainly look for their PC locos and cabooses but also the Husler Cox had Athearn produce for them.

71-75 era. I dont have the Cox edition Hustler (they only sold Silver and DRGW). Athearn provided the shells but the unique gear drives were made in Hong Kong I believe. Totally different chassis than Athearn's rubberband only version.
