Guys, I got this in the shop from a trade locally, and was wondering the history of this set? Its made by Con-Cor, and has "1995" on the car side as a road number...I've never seen this one before....

Needs a truck, but worth the trade I got it for as I thought it be nice under the tree!

Con Cor makes Christmas cars in HO & N each year. The first HO car was released in 1977. You have the 1995 edition. It was part of the North Pole & Southern passenger set, released from 1992 thru 1997.

Bachmann produced at least one freight set lettered North Pole & Southern. I got one about a decade ago. It came with a 4 bay hopper that made me wonder if that was how Santa got the lumps of coal he puts in the bad kids' stockings!
