Have no idea Ken! Looks as if the body is some type of a E-Unit, a much earlier E-Unit.

Looks like a very stretched boxcab unit. Flex-drive is interesting as well.

Justin, Yes thats a spring as a belt.... I have a Lindeberg models SW600, that also uses a drive with a spring as a belt......Runs pretty well too I might add!
But will admit, the drive system pictured here on the E unit, looks interesting!

I'm amazed they got away with flexible tubing instead of universals. Not only does that put stress on the bearings and add unnecessary friction, they would need to slide on the shafts to turn on curves. I only use silicone tubing to couple motor and gearbox shafts that are in a straight line.
Are you planning to get it running, Ken?

That is a Dallas Model Craft, E-Unit/ B-unit.

The brass V1000's are not Hobbyline. It is escaping me right now. I have two of them and they have Lindsay drives.

The black & yellow switcher appears to be Barr-Nixon.
The green switcher could be made by Garco.
