My loco this week is an electric by Marklin, a DB unit. Picked this up at the Timonium MD show a few weeks ago. I think it's already DCC'ed. Anyway, haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

My loco, one I've shown before but now its dramatically different! My Rare Roundhouse David lee's Circus 2-8-0. When originally built by me as a kit I painted everything black. found out that I had white paint so I stripped the paint on the boiler, primed it, and shot 2 coats of white paint on it for a circus look! It is operational but just needs new main rods. The compressors were reinstalled yesterday.
here's what she looked like back in august, this was the day I pulled everything off my old layout

A recent acquisition -- a Hobbyline 0-4-0 PRR A5

I know that Hobbyline acquired the John English dies in the late 50's. Does anyone know if Bowser acquired them from Hobbyline after that?

Thomas, Yes Bowser got all those molds I do believe, as "John English" is under the Bowser name now, and have since been discontinued from the Bowser line a few years ago!

I have this same engine. I cleaned it up and put new brushes in the powertorque motor. I painted the truck sideframes black to make it more CB&Q friendly.

My first truly foreign locomotive! A vintage Fleischmann 0-6-0.

From what I've been able to Google this thing came into being sometime in the 1950's? It's as heavy as a locomotive twice its size. Needs cleaned inside and out though. It runs, but you can tell it needs service bad. But I've been getting a bizarre 0-4-0/0-6-0 collection together so this works!

* About this subject. The 2 English families are not the same ones. They may have been related ,but not the same. As to the HObbyline-John English company and their dies, they went to Lionel in around 1956 0r 57. Lionel used them to produce their own first line of HO trains. * Comparing there products will show the heritage of Lionel's first HO line they made. toptrain1

badman55, Thanks for your comment. The painting of the trucks would make it look more like the working version since it is numbered "502" as it was for the Burlington and was made in May of 1959 according to the "Second Diesel Spotters Guide" by Jerry A. Pinkepank. I was on my way to post this info and saw your comment. I hope this one runs good and it seems to have all of its plows since a lot of the ones I see don't.

Nice mint Rossi Pacific, Ken.
Gary, whoever painted that RS2 in MoPac did a nice job.
Ted, the screw for that E7 is smaller and metric, but you can tap out the frame for a 2-56 flathead.
Love that 2-6-2, Sean. What is protruding from the front of the cylinders, or is that part of the lead truck?

I have shown this loco alot but I thought I'd make EM-1 drool for it AHM NYC Hudson 4-6-4
Its only missing the one steps on the front left of tender & still not running
I had to do 2 seperate pics cause its so long Also in case anyone wonders what is hanging on the tender Thats a water scoop They put troughs inbetween the rails to scoop up water so the non-stoppassenger trains wouldn't have to stop for water *geek!*

Ben, As per your direction in PM.....
That J-1 is nice, but I got 2 of them, one built, awaiting painting (needed some replacement parts that don't have matching road numbers) and another one in parts thats going to be built!
Have ya run it yet? It should run pretty good!
