Guys,
I'm making a posting to let everyone know that I will be out of the shop from November 16th to November 25th, as I'm headed back to my home place in Pennsylvania for the holiday, to spend it with my Wife and my 7 Yr old Daughter and my Dad and his family....
Will be a well deserved Vacation that I haven't had in damn near 2 years at this point!
But I'll be on and off from now till then, till the 16th so......I thought I'd make the posting early to warn those who I have projects being done in the shop currently incase time is pressed and I don't get a chance to get it all in the mail!

Well everyone, I have a slight delay in my travels, my car, needs a lower ball joint and a tie rod end, and won't be headed for vacation, till Monday November 19th.
So, I'll be on here over the weekend till then but thats OK!
With that said, I might get a few things done in the shop to ship, tomorrow!

Well everyone, sadly to say I'm back from vacation, and work will continue in YTR.....
For those who read.... I have ALOT to add to my picture lists, and a video as well.......
And to add to it, some more choo choo stuff as well! (I got some interesting gifts!)

Yeah it did, I was late getting out for it and my Boss told me to take a few extra days so......... (Needless to say, I didn't have to be told twice!)
As for the Amish, nahhh......my daughter loves seeing 'em due to the horse drawn "buggies" as shes a horse lover.......I grew up there, and have seen them the first 24 years of my life so.... I'm used to it.......

Thanks guys! Its GREAT to go on vacation, but just as great being home as well! (I was getting shop sickness) been away to long LOL

Well needless to say I came home with some gifts............. Because I live so far away, my Dad and family with my family celebrate Christmas early due to the distance between us so......
I got a "Southern" phone of a 4-6-2.
And then I got some real odd ones....Some pictured in the "Of the week" series area of the forums, but I also got some other interesting things as well.....
Where in the hell my Dad got this CSX Company "Employee Alarm Clock", is beyond me............... but yeah, I like it!
My wife got a really nice Bible cover, and 3 (yes 3) Emu eggs....... that have not been cracked! Where on Earth my Dad got these, I do not know but she liked them!
As well as a 3 piece necklace and some other small things.....as well.
But Christmas between my wife and I and daughter isn't over (my daughter is the only child I know that will have 2 Christmas settings!)

Then, it really gets interesting.....On Thanksgiving, my Dad told me after I opened the little gifts as he called them, he comes up to me an says, We need to go shopping tomorrow. I was like why? He said, well I didn't get you a "main" gift, these are all small things.....(I was kind of like well OK but this is plenty.....I'm not a kid no more!
Needless to say, I'm getting ahead of myself, as he over heard me talking about a Model I seen at a local store that was all closeouts......that I mentioned to my wife that I was wanting but didn't know he heard me... the store is called "Ollie's" in LaVale,MD......
Anyway, we went down and he walked around a bit and then found this model and said: "hey, isn't that something" I was like yep. it sure is and he picked it up and went over to the checkout and bought it....
So, without further chatting of it...... here it is!
I sat for 3 evenings to build it, its a 1/4th scale model of a stock Mopar 426 Hemi.......
Then it gets better, the second evening on assembly, I got to looking at it and went, OK this is pretty big in size, and thought, this is pretty big, where the hell am I gonna display this one!? Thinking to myself, and then realizing it has a die cast block, so is pretty heavy, I decided I was going to make it into this:
A lamp, to go on my night stand beside my bed side as the lights the wife and I have, do not match and because of this, I plan to get a 12 inch round short white lamp shade, and then have "426 Hemi" embroidered into it in orange thread...........
And then the following day, my Dad, my step Mom, and my daughter all go out shopping......To my surprise this was Saturday as Dad and I went shopping on Black Friday. My step Mom came home with yet another one! A 426 Hemi "Super Stock" model of the exact same thing, both models, were 125 parts made by Hawk Models. They picked them up for $19.99 each.....Can't say that was to bad of a price myself as I have seen them listed for $79.95 elsewhere.....
Although, I'd LOVE to get my hands on the operational 426 model Testors sold a few years ago, thats all clear with 300+ parts! (Yeah, I'm a old Mopar muscle car fanatic!)
