Picked up this Mantua a week or so ago on eBay, I have since installed the handrails. Just need the Ford and Timken to round out the collection.

my recent ebay find, a 1950s All-Metal MDC Roundhouse 0-6-0 slopebacker. Arrived in HORRIBLE shape! I've been slowly rebuilding it, when I finally finished painting all the parts I put her back together for photos to simulate what she would look like when operable in the future. Further running gear work is needed, she is disassembled again and will be stored inside my newly built Walthers machine shop along with my other personal project, my rare Roundhouse 2-8-0! In this photo she just used my IHC 2-6-0s tender which ironically is an MDC tender I plan to purchase an original MDc slopeback tender designed for the 0-6-0, at the train show in December, she should be operable by then but my new layout is about to begin construction so I can't work on it for a while. Boy I love rambling!
here's the before photo...While I did love the way it looked all beat up, it will be a better sight when in operation on my new layout in the future

I'll jump on Ray's coat tails. I'm trying to be picky these daysand only buy stuff if it comes with a sharp box. I got this Shark at a show for $6.00 two weeks ago. I must've walked past it a dozen times, telling myself not to do it as I looked, just because it didn't have a box. I guess I have no will power.
