Guys,
I'm in a pickle......I got a few Athearn bay window cabeese thats got the holes for the roof top marker lights, sadly, no marker lights with them! SO, does anyone know of a good detail part company that has these, AND a parts number for me to order some?
Any help, or direction is greatly appreciated! THANKS!

John, I bought one of them at a show a few years back, and I thought I'd been stiffed by the seller since the marker lights were missing. Interesting to know it's not just me.

Thanks guys for the reply, sadly, I had e-mailed Athearn quite some time ago, and they don't even carry them anymore! (Look at the pictures of there RTR line bay window cabs, NOT one of them has the marker OR antenna on the roof!
These "detail parts" were discontinued about 12 years ago, if I remember right.....
This is why I made the posting here, maybe someone knows of a company that makes them, like Detail West, or Detail Associates, and or even Cal-Scale for that matter.......I'd almost swear that Athearn NEVER made those anyway! To delicate for Athearn detail parts, and metal none-the-less!
It just don't look right on the cabs I'm assembling to have those "open" holes in the roof with nothing there when you know there should be!
The Antenna isn't difficult at all......A flat electronic capacitor works WELL for that detail part, painted silver with an extra "leg" added to it, unless you find a 3 lead capacitor then your all set, if the cap is the right size in diameter!
Its that damned marker light I'm looking for!

you need frog eyes and dish antennas? I gotta bunch of em....did you find out if you had a Mantua tender body...Maybey we can do this as a trade

Yes frog eyes.....I have antenna's so thats not an issue.
How many might you have? PM me with the amount that you can spare! And we can talk of a trade for the needed Mantua tender shell you need!
