Been searching on ebay for 2 weeks to find an MDC-Roundhouse 2-8-0 parts engine to complete my Circus 2-8-0 kit. Mainly just needed the main rods and some handrails and or detail parts being I overlooked them on my 2-8-0. Well after losing a couple auctions on various 2-8-0s I found an old MDC-Roundhouse 0-6-0 slopeback steamer without her tender and with a life like 0-4-0 teakettle. It had been on ebay for months and never sold, price was $9 with a $5 shipping charge so I decided to take a gamble and bid on it. We ended up winning which definately wasn't suprising to me Even if her main rods don't fit my 2-8-0, i'll still restore the 0-6-0 back to operation. The main rod's looked a bit different from my MDC 0-6-0Ts rods so thats what settled me on it. Regardless I get 2 steamers to work on and run on my new layout when that gets done. The 0-6-0 was very sad looking, i'll let the photos describe it but it's definately repairable. Just needs a lot of cleaning, and painting

here's one of the auction photos
here's the life like teakettle
she may look rough but I couldn't stay away from this little guy She will live to run again, it will just take a couple months.

Really? I was worried I would be outbid but I was relaxed because it had been on ebay for months and never sold, didn't think anyone wanted it. Oh well better one of us gets it being we'd actually take care of it.

Hi,

Please post some pictures after you have done some work on it, the part I most enjoy of this hobby is to pick those little poor creatures and take them back to the land of the living :)

Regards!

The first work done to it will be painting of the cab, boiler, frame, and well everything While that is being done I will clean those filthy drivers!! And see if the motor works. But i wont have the locomotives till tuesday says the seller. So stay tuned! My wesbite will be the first updated.
