This is the mystery. It clearly isn't stock to the late era bluebox caboose (SP) to which it is mounted, but it is secured with the car's original hardware, clearly for its benefits: it seems to work with either horn hook or knuckle couplers reasonably well. It was paired with another caboose (model power) which had been used as a coupler compatability car. Both are from Jude's lot.
Um who made this coupler, and where can I get more? These would be great for my ragtag fleet.

Harrison, Those couplers look to be those that IHC had made to be compatable with both Kadee "knuckle" couplers, AND the XF-2 "Horn Hook" couplers, they would work on either of these.
I'm not what they are called tho, but good luck finding more of them as IHC really isn't making them anymore, and sadly they never really caught on as the EZ-Mate OR McHenry's took over in place to become the direct competition for Kadee.

Ben, Good luck! Ebay? I used to have like 100 packs of them....sold all of them to a customer of mine about 2 years ago for $20.00. 1 pack was 10 couplers I do believe!
Since Bernie Paul died, and IHC is sort of gone (that place in Texas, is only selling the left over from the inventory of IHC), I don't believe they will be "making" anything for the IHC line!

| I randomly found one in a pack of spare couplers, equipped it to a Bachmann 4-4-0(UP 119). Works wonders for the massive amounts of Horn Hook couplers compaired to the tiny bit of EZ mate/Kadee couplers I have
