Group,
Well when I get going, I go....I wanted a B&O KB-1 or KB-1a, which is a 2-6-6-4. The difference between the 2 classes is one had Baker valve gear and the other had Walschaert valve gear.

Even so, I'm going to be building atleast one of the 2, possibly the other one at a later date....

So, to make this happen, I took 2 Mantua Pacific's and milled them to be articulated engine beds....

I'll be making my own "pillow blocks" for the gearing to be designed in much the same way a Bowser is done, as I have parts to make that happen.

Enjoy!

I merely have a Bowser Challenger boiler setting on the frames for sizing but it will NOT be the boiler thats used......

I got alot of work but will be worth it when done! I'll be making my own boiler to fit this to be a B&O KB class 2-6-6-4!

Can't tell, I'm always up to something? *looks for a devilish smiley face*

Keep me updated! I always wanted to make a mallet from 2 Mantuas! I'm trying to picture the frame pivot point.

Justin,
The pivot point will be at the end of the rear engine bed, and the front of the rear engine bed.. Much the same way Rivarossi does it, ALTHO, I plan to make the rear set of engine, rigid to the boiler as the real thing was......BUT, that could change in time as I build it.

Needless to say, I've got, a long ways to go!
