While rummaging through my buddy's junk bucket of diecast, I ran across these 5 little HO scale cars, all plastic. He said later he used to have a train as a kid,not anymore. Anyway, we worked out a trade, so they came home with me A couple are Wiking, the Bug is Eko, not sure of the other two. Anyway, more scenery props for future use.

A real nice find Jerry. I think they would fit nicely on a '60-'70s layout and could be worked in to a more modern layout also. I like the Beetle and the Capri for sure. The white four-door could pass for an American '50s ride.

I like finding bargain ho scale cars. At the last local train show I was looking for a couple cars to fill the streets on my layout. I ended up with about 40+ cars of various levels of detail for about $15 bucks.

There for awhile I was able to buy the "Johnny Lightening" HO Scale auto's from Wal-Mart for like $0.99! NOW those same cars anywhere else are like $5.99!

Just like the Norscot Caterpillar stuff, the cheaper ones for "looks" were $1.99, now anywhere else they're going for $10.99! Granted, they are 100% operational, but look good out in the distance, OR as freight car loads, all chained down and or taken apart for loading......NOT for $10.99 tho!

What gives?
